Arizona del Sur and Norte de Mexico

ARIZONA DEL SUR AND NORTE DE MEXICO is an exhibition of artwork from Latino artists of southern Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. All genres of art are welcome. The Tubac Center of the Arts is particularly interested in artwork that is innovative and diverse in form and content.

Up to 4 works may be entered for consideration. Entry fee is $25 for the first image, $3 each additional image. TCA artists may apply with a $5 discount. Jurying will be done on the basis of digital images in jpg format. All artwork must arrive in a condition ready to professionally display or hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted (white, black or neutral colors preferred), simply framed and firmly wired. No saw tooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA will retain a 40% commission. Entry must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA.

Prizes: Best of Show $300, Award of Excellence $200, Award of Merit $100, Honorary Mention $50 (two awards). Timeline: Submissions open February 12, 2018. Entry deadline April 14, 2018. Jury process and artist notifications April 15, 2018. Shipped art due April 27, 2018. Hand delivered art due April 30, 2018. Opening Reception May 4, 2018, 5-7pm. Art pickup June 4, 2018. Shipped work returned week of June 11, 2018. Art may not be removed from the exhibit prior to close on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Jurors: Guadalupe Serrano, Director of Museo de arte de Nogales and Michael Fenlason of the Tubac Center of the Arts.
