Arizona Aqueous XXXIX

Arizona Aqueous XXXIX is a national exhibition for water-based pigments on paper. Eligible work includes paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations. Artists are urged to enter innovative work, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at Tubac Center of the Arts. All work must be original creations by the artist; giclee reproductions are not permitted.

Entry fee is $40 ($36 with TCA Member discount), plus $5 per additional entry image up to 4 entries ($3 each with member discount). Up to four works may be entered for consideration via digital images in jpg format only. All artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back after the close of the exhibition on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Juror: Barbara Borgwardt. Awards: Best of Show $1,000, Juror's Award $500, Award of Excellence $250, Award of Merit $100, Honorable Mention $75 (two awards). Submissions open Friday, September 16, 2024. Entry deadline: Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Jury process: November 16-24, 2024. Artist notifications: Week of November 25, 2024. Opening Reception: Friday, January 10, 2025, 5-7pm. Eligibility: All artists 18 years or older residing in the US.
