Arizona Aqueous XXX

Arizona Aqueous XXX is a nationally juried exhibition of water media on paper. Water-based pigments on paper must constitute the major portion of the work. Eligible entries include paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations. Work must be innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. All work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at Tubac Center of the Arts. Giclee reproductions are not permitted; entries must be original works entirely created by the artist.

Entry fee is $36 ($32 for TCA members). Up to four works may be entered for consideration at $5 per additional image ($3 for members). All artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired. All work must be for sale, and TCA will retain a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back after the exhibition closes on March 13, 2016. Artists must provide a prepaid barcoded shipping label for return of artwork.

Awards include: Best of Show ($1,000), Juror's Award ($500), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($100), Ursula Suess Abstract Award ($100), and Honorable Mention ($75). The exhibition runs from January 25 through March 13, 2016. Juror Regena Degge will lead an Art Speaks Discussion on February 2, 2016.
