About This Call
Arizona Aqueous XXVIII is a nationally juried exhibit of water media on paper. Water-based pigments on paper must constitute the major portion of the work. Eligible entries include paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations. Artists are urged to enter work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted.
Awards include: Best of Show ($1,000), Juror's Award ($500), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($100), and Honorable Mention ($75). All work must be for sale, and TCA will retain a 40% commission. Artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close on Sunday, February 24, 2014, including sold work.
Entry fee is $35 ($30 for TCA members), with an additional $5 per image for up to 4 entries ($3 for members). Up to four works may be entered for consideration via digital images in jpg format only. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back after the exhibition closes; artists must provide a prepaid shipping label. Hand-delivered art is due Monday, February 3, 2014. The opening reception is Friday and Saturday, February 7-8, 2014. Juror Judy Morris will conduct a workshop on Monday, March 10, 2014.
