Arizona Aqueous XL

Arizona Aqueous XL is an exhibition for water-based pigments on paper that must constitute the major portion of the work. Entries composed of paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, or two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations are eligible. Artists are urged to enter work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months, be the original creation of the artist, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Giclee reproductions are not permitted.

The exhibition will be juried by Barbara Borgwardt with awards including Best of Show ($1,000), Juror's Award ($500), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($100), and two Honorable Mentions ($75 each). Entry fee is $35 ($30 with TCA member discount using code Water26) plus $5 for each additional entry image up to 4 total entries. All work must be for sale with TCA retaining a 40% commission.

The exhibition runs from February 13 to March 29, 2026, with an opening reception on February 13 from 5-7pm. Shipped art is due February 2-6, 2026, and hand-delivered art is due February 9, 2026. All artwork must arrive ready to hang, suitably matted with white, black or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid return shipping label.
