About This Call
Gallerium presents AQUA, a dual exhibition and publication art opportunity inviting artists to express their visual interpretations of water. The call welcomes any artistic interpretation of water as the beginning and natural source of life, symbol of purity and cleanness, daily water usage and consumption, environmental issues including shortage and pollution, oceanic and marine life, water in religions and myths, various forms of water (ice, liquid, steam), waterscapes, water sports, and all real and imaginary interpretations in abstract or figurative style.
Selected artworks will be showcased in the AQUA international online group exhibition and a subset will be published in The Book of Arts: Aqua series. Three artists with the highest artwork ranks will be selected as public choice winners and receive USD 1,000 cash prizes (First Prize: USD 500, Second Prize: USD 300, Third Prize: USD 200). The exhibition runs from February 1 to March 3, 2023. Selected artworks will be published in a stylish colorful exhibition catalogue available in online and print formats, promoted and distributed internationally. All selected artists receive a digital certificate, online profile page on Biafarin platform, digital social media promotional badge, and a report with views, comments, engagement rates, and sales statistics.
This opportunity is open to all visual artists working in any medium worldwide. Artists can submit up to 5 original artworks; maximum 2 artworks will be selected from each artist. Submission is free; only selected artists pay a USD 40 selection fee. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and original, not copies or derivatives of other copyrighted work. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, with no size limit. All visual art categories and styles are accepted, including painting, drawing, illustration, photography, digital art, sculpture, mixed media, and more.
