Apocalypse.Maybe

Gallery 114, an artist-owned and artist-run collective located in Portland, Oregon's Pearl District, invites 2 and 3 dimensional artists to submit work for "Apocalypse.Maybe." The exhibition seeks artists to expressly depict the tension between despair and hope in response to contemporary crises including climate change, health care, pandemic, racism, and fascism.

All 2 and 3 dimensional media are welcome. Works must be original, with individual pieces not exceeding 7 feet in height and 5 feet in width. Prices for a single piece should not exceed $5,000. Submit up to three images of your work along with title, size, medium, price, and a brief description of how your work reflects the theme. The entry fee is $35 for three submissions. Any person 18 years or older is eligible to apply.

Submission deadline is December 3, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST through CAFÉ at CallForEntry.org. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 (local artists by 5 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021). The exhibition runs January 6-29, 2022. All accepted entries must be installation-ready with appropriate hanging hardware and clearly labeled with the artist's name. Gallery 114 will insure works on site for their market value and charge a 35% commission on sales.
