Aperture 2025

Aperture 2025 is an online-only exhibition with no shipping required. The Cultural Center invites artists to explore the unexpected thing, asking: Is it the startling surprise? Or the unforeseen event? Emerging from the ocean, falling from the sky – a berry, a bird, a butterfly, an eye – from aquamarine to azure to indigo.

Open to all fine art mediums including oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, and digital art (video excluded). Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. This call is open to all artists worldwide, both amateur and professional.

Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, up to a maximum of 20 images. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. Awards: First place - $300, second place - $200, third place - $100. All images must be submitted in JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Winners will be notified by email by July 20, 2024, and the gallery opening will be completed on the Cultural Center website by that date. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist.
