Anything Goes

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society is accepting submissions for the "Anything Goes" exhibition, open to all 2D media (excluding photography and digital art). The exhibition will be held both online and in person at the gallery in Pawtucket, RI, from April 23rd through May 27th, with the opening reception on April 30th at 1pm.

Eligibility: Open to all artists in the United States. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially/wholly painted by another artist. Acceptable 2D media include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, and egg tempera on surfaces such as watercolor paper, canvas, rice paper, illustration board, and wood. Pieces may not exceed 42 inches on the longest side (including frame) and must be professionally presented with framed work under glass or Plexiglas, wired with no visible hardware.

Submission Requirements: Submit 1-3 digital images. Entry fee is $20 for non-members or $15 for members (use code "riwsmember" at checkout). Drop-off dates are April 7th-21st (Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm). Notification of acceptance is April 6th. Artists may also ship work with tracking information sent to [email protected]; include a pre-paid return label. Pick-up dates are May 28th-June 11th (same hours as drop-off). The Rhode Island Watercolor Society retains 35% of sales. No accepted entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.
