Annual Call - The Phipps Center for the Arts

The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, WI seeks submissions from visual artists in Wisconsin and Minnesota for exhibition opportunities in The Galleries of The Phipps in 2019-2020 and in three public exhibition programs in 2017-2018: the Healing Arts Program at Hudson Hospital & Clinic; the Enriching Arts Program at Croixdale in Bayport, MN; and the Healing Arts Program at Westfields Hospital & Clinic in New Richmond, WI. Submissions will be considered for all exhibition opportunities and may be accepted in more than one. Scheduling will be coordinated to avoid overlaps.

Individual artist submissions as well as proposals for two-person, three-person, or thematic group exhibitions are encouraged. Artists may submit for one individual, a two-person show, or a three-person show and/or group proposals of four or more artists. Artists who have exhibited in The Galleries of The Phipps will be considered and, if chosen, will be scheduled with a minimum of two years between shows.

Submissions must include four images for individual artists and two-person or three-person exhibition proposals, or up to twenty images for group exhibition proposals along with a brief description of the proposed exhibition. The entry fee is $5.00, and artists may submit up to 2 applications. Submissions will be juried by members of the Visual Arts Council, comprised of artists, arts professionals, and art enthusiasts from the area. All submitting artists will be notified by email of the jury's decision on or before October 31, 2016.
