About This Call
The 58th Annual Ann Arbor State Street District Art Fair takes place July 16-18, 2026, in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. As one of three official fairs that comprise the award-winning Ann Arbor Art Fair, this prestigious event draws nearly 400,000 attendees each July and is ranked #19 in Sunshine Artist's 2024 Fine Art Rankings. Since 1968, the SSDAF has showcased original fine arts and fine crafts selected through a rigorous jury process, set against the picturesque backdrop of Ann Arbor's historic theater district.
The application fee is $60 (non-refundable) and requires 5 images including a required booth shot. Applications open November 1, 2025, and close March 2, 2025, by 11:59 PM EST through ZAPPlication.org. The jury session runs March 6-14 with results announced March 15 via email. Artists have until March 31 to accept invitations and April 15 for booth deposit payment.
Artists enjoy exceptional amenities including an air-conditioned Artist Hospitality Lounge in the historic Michigan Theater, an opening night celebration with dinner and drinks, daily water delivery, booth-sitters, 24/7 professional security, and vehicle access for loading. Awards include Best in Show ($1,000), Second Place ($750), Third Place ($500), Category Recognition Awards ($1,500 total), Emerging Artist Award ($500), and Featured Artist Award (booth fee waived). Artists keep 100% of sales proceeds, and the fair is free for visitors to attend.
