Ankeny Art Center Arts Festival 2025

On May 17th, 2025, the Ankeny Art Center and Uptown Ankeny will host the Ankeny Art Center Arts Festival. The festival will transform several streets of Ankeny's Historic Uptown into a vibrant celebration of creativity and artistic expression, featuring fine art vendors working in mediums such as painting (acrylic, oil, pastel, etc.), ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, mixed media, metal works, glass, digital, and many others.

The festival will have 50+ artist booths, live music, artist demonstrations, food trucks, and entertainment for adults and children. Awards will be given for Best in Show and Honorable Mention on the day of the festival. All spaces are approximately 10' wide by 10' deep in an open outdoor area, with artists required to provide their own tent, tables, chairs, and setup items. Single space booths cost $100.00 and double spaces cost $200.00.

All work exhibited must be created and produced by the artist, with two-dimensional work properly framed, matted, or stretched. Artists must be present to exhibit and show current ID for check-in. Setup begins at 7:30 am with the event opening to the public at 10:00 am and closing at 4:00 pm. The jury process selects approximately 60 artists from an average of 80 applications, with applications scored by 11 jurors using a 1-10 scale or Yes/No/Maybe system.
