About This Call

Gallerium invites artists worldwide to submit work for Animals of the Planet 2024, a dual exhibition and publication celebrating real and imaginary animals. Artists are encouraged to share artistic expressions of mammals, birds, fish, insects, reptiles, pets, and fantasy creatures, including real wildlife in natural habitats, pets and human-animal bonds, fantasy creatures and mythical beings, endangered species, animal diversity, and human-animal interactions and activities. All interpretations in 2D and 3D art media, abstract or representational, are welcomed.

Selected artworks will be exhibited in an online group exhibition from April 29 to June 29, 2024, and published in The Book of Arts: Animals of the Planet. The online version of the book will be available free, while high-quality print editions can be ordered. Selected artworks will also be promoted for sales via the online exhibition link, and artists will receive an exhibition catalogue, digital poster, promotional badges, artwork reviews from visitors, exhibition promotion, analytics reports, a digital certificate, and a free artist profile page on the Biafarin platform. Some selected artists may be chosen for publication in art magazines and books on the Biafarin network.

Submission is free. If selected, artists pay a USD 40 selection fee (USD 34 if Early Bird is offered). Artists can submit up to 6 artworks, with a maximum of 2 accepted per artist. Submissions must be original work created by the artist without instructor supervision. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no creation year limit. There is no size limit. A money-back guarantee is available for selection fee payments until the exhibition's official opening day. The jury process uses a two-phase approach: Yes/No selection followed by scoring from 1 to 5 by jury members, with highest-scoring artworks in the "Yes" group selected.
