About This Call
This exhibition invites artists to submit work depicting domestic and working animals in all mediums. Artists may submit up to two works for consideration. Only work not previously shown at Salmagundi is eligible.
Accepted works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging, with outside frame dimensions not exceeding 40 inches. Artists are responsible for providing accurate images of their unframed work for submission; if accepted, they will be sent instructions to provide images of their framed work. Works must be received by the stated dates to be hung in the exhibition. Acceptance and rejection notifications will be sent via ShowSubmit.
Submissions must include high-quality JPEG images at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. After acceptance, works being shipped must be sent in reusable shipping boxes for art with the exhibition name on the outside; artists not using reusable boxes will incur a $35 unpacking/packing charge. A return shipping label must be provided by the artist if work is to be shipped back after the exhibition. Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition. The club retains 30% of all sales, with 70% going to the artist. If work is not for sale, artists should write "NFS" on the hangtag included in the acceptance email. For questions about the exhibition, contact Karene Infranco at [email protected].
