ANIMALIA

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibition titled ANIMALIA, themed around the animal kingdom. The exhibition celebrates animals as subjects in art, from their diverse species and behaviors to their symbolic representations throughout art history—from grace and speed to strength, nobility, transformation, and freedom.

Submissions must be received by Friday, April 14, 2023 at midnight MST. Artists may submit up to 20 total works, with an entry fee of $25 for the first submission and $10 for each additional entry. Submissions may include images (JPEG/JPG format, 1,200 pixels minimum on longest side, maximum 5 MB) and/or videos (MOV, MP4, or WMV format, 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio, 640x480 to 1920x1080 resolution, under 100 MB). All accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com. Notification of acceptance will be sent by Friday, May 12, 2023.

Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). The exhibition is curated and juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill and an anonymous committee. This call is open to amateur and professional artists worldwide working in all fine art mediums including oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, digital art, and film/video. Work previously selected for Art Fluent exhibitions or work copied or done under instructor guidance is not eligible. Artists retain 100% of sales proceeds. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to arts organizations and artist support initiatives.
