Animalia

Animalia will showcase artwork featuring and inspired by animals. This includes creations ranging from an elephant trunk-shaped teapot spout to a quilt made with leopard-print fabric, a realistic painted portrait of your favorite pet, or a sculpture of a giant sloth. Any artwork with an animal focus will be considered, regardless of the medium—both 2-D and 3-D works are welcome. However, artworks incorporating any part of the human form will not be accepted.

The show will run from October 16 - November 20, 2025, at Kavanagh Gallery, Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37W570 Bolcum Rd, St Charles, IL 60175. The exhibition is open to artists 18 and older who reside in the United States. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted, with images of the actual work to be exhibited. All artwork must be original and for sale. Artists must submit an artist statement limited to 1000 characters. The entry fee is $35.00. Jurors' selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent via email on or before September 13, 2025.

The gallery will charge a 30% sales commission for any artwork sold. Fine Line will handle all sales, sales tax, and provide artists with a check after the show's end. Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line and for insuring items during shipping. A return shipping label must be included with work shipped for this exhibit. Fine Line provides security with 24/7 video monitoring and insurance coverage from receipt of work until the show's end (valued at 70% of sale price). The Kavanagh Gallery uses the Walker Display system for wall-hung artwork; hanging work should have wire and screw eyes. Grey pedestals are available for use. $800 in prizes will be awarded.
