Animal House

National juried exhibition held January 5-27, 2018 at Ciel Gallery in Charlotte, NC. The exhibition theme celebrates animals in all forms. Artists working in any medium, both 2-D and 3-D, are welcome to submit. There are no size restrictions, though space will be a consideration. All US artists are eligible to apply.

Entry fee is $35.00 for submission of 2 pieces, with an additional $10 media fee for each additional piece submitted (up to 5 pieces total). Submissions must include 2-5 JPEG images sized to no less than 1920 pixels on the longest side and no greater than 5MB. All work must be original, created by the submitting artist, and ready to hang. No prints (except photography), giclées, or prints on aluminum are accepted. All exhibited work must be for sale. Ciel Gallery will take a 40% commission on all works sold during the exhibition or within 30 days as a direct result of the exhibition. Payment will be mailed to the artist within 30 days of the exhibition closing.

Juror is Elizabeth Bradford, a North Carolina artist whose work focuses on landscape and nature. Best of Show award is $500, with honorable mentions also awarded. Artists are responsible for shipping or delivering accepted artwork by the specified deadline. Unsold works will be returned via artist-supplied pre-paid label two to four weeks after the exhibition closes. Artists should supply their own insurance if desired. Acceptance notifications will be sent by email on December 21, 2017. The opening reception is Friday, January 5 at 6:00-9:00 PM. Pick-up by appointment is available on Saturday, January 27, or artwork can be return-shipped.
