About This Call

And Still It Remains: A Long COVID Exhibition was conceptualized by an RN/artist who is a Long COVID survivor. The exhibition aims to bring public and medical awareness to Long COVID and create a sense of community among Long COVID survivors. Long COVID is a group of health problems persisting or developing after an initial period of COVID-19 infection, with symptoms that can last weeks, months, or years. Commonly reported symptoms include fatigue, memory problems, shortness of breath, and sleep disorders. Artists and creatives affected by Long COVID are invited to apply with artwork about their experiences.

Artworks Center for Contemporary Art (ACCA) is the largest studio artist community in Northern Colorado dedicated to advancing contemporary arts. The exhibition runs May 9 - June 28, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, May 9 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Entry fee is $20 for up to 4 pieces. Artists must submit original work created within the past 5 years that has not been previously shown at ACCA. Framed and 2D work must be ready to hang and not exceed 3 feet in width or weigh more than 70 lbs. Sculpture should not exceed 6 feet in any direction. Installations and new media pieces are encouraged. An artist statement of no more than 300 words about the piece and experience with Long COVID is required.

Artwork must be delivered by May 1, 2025, either shipped or hand-delivered May 1-2 from 12:30pm - 4:30pm. Artists are responsible for shipping costs both to and from the exhibition and must provide a pre-paid return shipping label. ACCA provides insurance for artworks while on premises but is not responsible for damage or loss during transport. ACCA takes a 40% commission on artwork sold during the exhibition. Artists will be notified the week of April 14, 2025. All applications must be completed online through CaFE. For questions, contact [email protected].
