An Artist's Vision -- Open Call

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels (emerging to established) to submit original artwork to this national open call exhibition with no theme restrictions. Any theme, style, or subject matter is welcome. The gallery accepts painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 total images. All images must be submitted as JPEG files under 5 MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Submissions must include title, medium, size, price, and year of completion. The entry deadline is October 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance on or about November 11, 2025. The exhibition runs January 14 - February 14, 2026 at the gallery located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery no later than January 10, 2026. Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for secure installation with stretched wire attached to the back (sawtooth hangers are not acceptable). Maximum dimensions are 48 inches (framed) on the longest side and 45 lbs for paintings; sculpture should not exceed 28 inches on any dimension. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance both to and from the gallery. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with artwork. Awards include an "Art of Distinction" Award featuring a special exhibition, an annual Grand Prize offering a New York City exhibition opportunity, and an optional Director's Choice Award of $200. For sales, artists receive 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%. Artists retain all rights to their work.
