Americans

The Rankin Arts Photography Center (RAPC) at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia is seeking photographs made since November 8, 2016 that confirm or challenge preconceptions about Americans. The exhibition welcomes all photographers regardless of age or skill level. Photographers may use any analog, digital, or antique camera or process. Submissions should include 3-10 images.

Entry fees are $35 for up to 3 images, with $5 for each additional image up to 10. Selected images (40-50) will hang in RAPC's main gallery space for approximately three weeks, from September 6-27, 2019. Selected images must be framed (24" max. longest side) in simple black metal or black wood frames, with white mat or border and wire on the back, ready to hang. Alternatively, RAPC's master printer will print and frame accepted photographs for $25 per image on archival cotton rag paper (up to 17x22" paper size), with optional return shipping for $15. Artists retain all copyrights and receive 100% of any sales. The juror is Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Massachusetts. Selections will be announced July 15, with drop-off or arrival at RAPC August 26-30. All selected photographers will receive a press packet including a formal acceptance letter with signed juror's statement.
