American Impressionist Society 9th Annual Exhibition at Coda Gallery

The American Impressionist Society 9th Annual Exhibition will be held at Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, CA from November 22 to December 22, 2008. Participants must be current members of A.I.S. Inc. for 2008. Membership dues are $50 and are due in January of every year.

The exhibition accepts oil, pastel, acrylic, or watercolor paintings. Works must be suitably framed, wired, and ready for hanging with no glass. Canvas size cannot exceed 30 x 40 inches excluding frame. All artwork must be for sale with a 50% gallery and 50% artist split. Entry fee is $50 for up to two artworks submitted online at www.CallForEntry.org. Digital images must be accurate representations of the original artwork; pieces that differ markedly from submitted images will be disqualified.

Awards include: AIS Award of Excellence ($1,500), Best of Show – AIS Award ($1,500), First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($300), Third Prize ($200), William Schultz Award for Oil ($200), and 10 Honorable Mention Awards ($150 each). The judge is Calvin Liang, a Master Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society. Accepted works must be delivered to Coda Gallery (73151 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA 92260) between November 17-20, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local entries must be picked up on December 22 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Each entering artist will receive one complimentary copy of the exhibition catalog.
