Applications are now open for Alley Cat Art Fest 2026, and we invite you to be part of one of East County's premier celebrations of local art and creativity!
Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00am to 6:00pm as Downtown El Cajon's vibrant Arts District comes alive, transforming several downtown streets into a dynamic open-air celebration of art and creativity. Alley Cat Art Fest combines the former Artivál and the beloved Alley Cat Art Walk into a one-day festival showcasing the exceptional talent of local and regional artists.
Spanning Main Street, Arts Alley, Prescott Promenade, and surrounding streets, the festival will welcome thousands of visitors to explore Downtown El Cajon's thriving creative community. With more than 80 artists showcasing original works including paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, handcrafted goods, mixed media, and more.
In addition to an outstanding artist marketplace, attendees will enjoy live music, delicious food and beverages, interactive art experiences, and the opportunity to stroll through the iconic Arts Alley, where vibrant large-scale murals create one of East County's most unique outdoor gallery experiences.
Alley Cat Art Fest is more than an art festival; it's an opportunity to connect with new collectors, promote your work, and support public art in Downtown El Cajon.
Proceeds from the festival help restore the community's existing murals and fund future public art and beautification projects, creating a lasting impact long after the event concludes.
