Allegro National Juried Show

Allegro National Juried Show, March 29 – May 14, 2023, at Willow Gallery, Quiet Waters Park, Annapolis, MD. Sponsored by Aqua Regia Press and Anne Arundel Community College Printmaking Club. The show seeks hand-pulled prints and book arts that embody, question, or play with the concept of "Allegro"—brisk tempo, upbeat, merry, and lively. Juror: Helen Frederick, Founder of Pyramid Atlantic, a center for contemporary printmaking, hand papermaking and the art of the book. Frederick is Professor Emeritus in the School of Art at George Mason University, with work in the collections of the Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum, National Gallery of Art, and many others. Juror's awards: $1,000.

Eligibility: All artists over 18 years of age in the US. Anne Arundel Community College Printmaking Club members may not enter. Entry fee: $30 for 3 images, $5 for each additional image (maximum 5 images). Submit online via Café website www.callforentry.org. Deadline: February 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
