All the Fixins: Artists from the South 2026

All the Fixins: Artists from the South is a juried exhibition showcasing artistic talent of artists living and working in the South. The exhibition takes place at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center from May 8 – July 4, 2026. Susan Bridges, Director/Owner of Whitespace Gallery, will juror submissions to determine which work will be shown and which artworks will receive awards for first place ($500), second place ($250), and third place ($100). An opening reception will take place on Friday, May 8, 6pm-8pm, when award recipients will be announced.

Eligible artists must be over 18 years old and currently reside in one of the following Southern states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Artists may submit up to three artworks with no more than two images per individual work (maximum six images total). The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). All artwork must be original and previously unshown at the Reeves House. Artwork is limited to a maximum weight of 50 lbs. for hanging work and 100 lbs. for sculpture, with a maximum size of 90" (framed or installed) in any direction. All work must be professionally presented and ready to hang/install upon delivery. Works on paper must be framed and protected under glass, plexiglass, or other protective covering. Gallery wrapped canvas or wood panel with finished sides is acceptable without a frame. Works on canvas or flat board must be framed. Wall hanging fabric works must include a hanging device such as a casing sewn with a dowel or rod. Video works should not exceed five minutes and must be .mov or .mp4 format. Sculptural work and freestanding pieces must be installation ready. Accepted hanging hardware includes wired, D-rings, and cleats; saw tooth hangers, plastic frames, and clip style frames will not be accepted.

Accepted artists will be notified by email by April 10, 2026. Artwork must be hand delivered or shipped between April 27 - May 2, with all artwork at the gallery by May 4. Artists are responsible for transportation and delivery of work to and from the Reeves House. Artwork will be insured while in the care of the Reeves House. All artwork must be available for sale; the artist will receive 60 percent of the sale price and the Reeves House will retain 40 percent. Artwork pick-up is July 5-7 (11am-6pm), and shipped artwork will be returned July 15-20. Entry deadline is Monday, March 30 by 11:59pm.
