All Kids Can...CREATE!

All Kids Can...CREATE! is an open call for children ages 5-15 from all 50 states and the District of Columbia to submit original visual artwork. Selected artworks will be displayed in an exhibition in Washington, D.C., during May 2008, with the opportunity for young artists to visit the nation's capital. In April, VSA arts affiliates in each state will select two representative artworks to send to the VSA arts home office for final selection. One artwork per state will be selected for the exhibition, which will serve as the centerpiece of the annual VSA arts Start with the Arts Family Festival. Of the total artists selected for the exhibition, ten artists will be invited as guests for the opening reception on Capitol Hill.

Artwork must be an original work completed within the last year. Two-dimensional artwork can range from 3 x 5 inches to a maximum of 18 x 24 inches. Three-dimensional artwork should not exceed 18 x 18 x 18 inches. Only visual art will be accepted. Artists are encouraged to create artwork using art supplies that can be purchased at local CVS/pharmacy stores, though non-traditional supplies are also encouraged.

Submissions must be made digitally through the CaFÉ website (www.callforentry.org) as a single JPEG image. Do not send original artwork. There is no entry fee. Selected artwork becomes the property of VSA arts and will not be returned. The artist's guardian agrees to allow VSA arts the right to use their submission for public relations purposes, including broadcast, print, and electronic media.
