All About Pastel 2026 Spring Members Exhibition

The Southeastern Pastel Society invites current members to submit work for the All About Pastel 2026 Spring Members Exhibition. Open to all SPS current members; membership can be renewed prior to entering at southeasternpastel.com/login.

Eligibility requirements: Paintings must be in dry pastel (no oil pastels). Mixed media must be predominantly dry pastel with the final surface being at least 80% traditional dry pastel. Works must have been created in the past 2 years and must be original, painted from life or from your own reference photo or imagination, not copied from other artists or published materials. Paintings may not have been accepted into or won an award in any previous SPS exhibition. Work done in a classroom, workshop, or online group scenario is not eligible. All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Final sprays or acrylic or other sealants are not acceptable; pastel fixative is appropriate. All subjects and styles are eligible, from traditional to contemporary. Subject matter must be appropriate for viewing by all ages; tasteful nudes and figure studies are acceptable. Images of violence, specific political agenda, and pornography will not be accepted.

Entry fees: $35 for up to 2 works; $10 for each additional work up to 5 works. Awards include Best of Show $1,000; 1st Place $750; 2nd Place $500; 3rd Place $250; Honorable Mention $100; Members Choice $100; and Volunteer of the Year Dakota Gift Certificate $150. Submit original high-quality JPEG image files at least 1920 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork itself, properly oriented, and use sRGB color profile. Entry deadline is January 12, 2026. Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on January 19, 2026.
