About This Call
The Alaska Biennial is organized by the Anchorage Museum and celebrates place through the lens of contemporary art. The juried exhibition focuses on new works by Alaska contemporary artists. Jurying will be conducted completely online, and artists will be notified by August 31 regarding accepted artworks.
Work sample requirements: minimum 1 image, maximum 6 images; audio and video submissions are optional (0-6 each). Total samples must be between 1 and 6. The deadline for digital entries is July 24, 2020 at 9:59 pm Alaska Time.
Artworks accepted into the Alaska Biennial must be delivered to the Anchorage Museum between September 1 and September 30, 2020, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, Wednesday through Friday (excluding Labor Day, Monday, September 7). All entries, including time-based media, must be ready for installation. Artists are responsible for inbound shipping and delivery expenses; the Museum covers return shipping. Notifications will be sent by email through CAFÉ.
