Up to $75,000 is available to purchase artwork through this program, administered with "2% for Art" Public Art Program funds.

This program is open to practicing, professional artists who live and/or work in Alameda County, California. Artists who have 3 or more wall-hanging, framed artworks in the County's Art Collection are not eligible. There is no fee to apply.

Artwork must be original, created using archival media, and created within the last five years. Artwork must have a minimum size of 11" H x 11" W and maximum size of 50" H x 50" W x 3" D with maximum weight of 25 pounds. All artwork will be displayed on walls. Selection panels will review applications in two phases, with Phase One reviewing images and Phase Two reviewing physical artworks delivered to the Arts Commission office.
