AiA Fiber Arts Show 2025

Artists In Action is hosting a Fiber Arts Show open to all Oregon visual artists. The show will feature a wide range of artistic creations using textile materials and techniques including knitting, weaving, quilting, embroidery, macrame, felting, rug hooking, lace making, basketry, sewing, and papermaking. All fiber mediums and styles of visual art will be considered, including painting, collage, textiles, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.

Artists may submit up to three works for the juried exhibition and one submission for the Fashion Show. The exhibition will be held at Elsinore Framing & Fine Art Gallery, 444 Ferry St SE, Salem, OR during November 7-29, 2025, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, November 7. The show will be judged by Salem fiber artist Cameron Covey. Awards include Best of Show, Best Original Design, Best Wearable, Best Use of Unconventional Material, Best Use of Color, Most Functional Non-wearable, and Honorable Mention, plus a People's Choice Award. The Fashion Show portion includes two awards: Most Imaginative and Best Design, with judge's awards valued over $100 (requires at least 8 participants).

Registration opens Monday, August 4, 2025 and closes Wednesday, October 14, 2025 at 11:00 pm via ArtCall.org. Entry fees are: AiA Members $30, non-members $40, and students (up to age 25) $20 for up to three exhibition submissions and one Fashion Show submission. Fashion Show only submissions are also available at the same rates. Payment by debit or credit card is required during online registration, or checks may be submitted by August 14th. Artists must be able to deliver and pick up artwork in Salem; shipments cannot be accepted. Fashion Show submissions must be worn to the opening reception.
