Afternoon Tea

BCAT's upcoming exhibition "Afternoon Tea" is seeking nationwide submissions that celebrate all the accoutrements of Afternoon Tea: teapot, teacups, saucers and plates; creamer/sugar, sugar spoon/sugar cube tongs, tea tray, tea strainer, lemon slice tray/lemon slice fork, tea sandwich or scone tray or plates. These items can be made in metal, clay, wood, or a combination of all.

Entries can be up to 3 pieces, showcasing the artist's individual style. There is no fee to participate, but due to limitations of the BCAT gallery space, they may request that you send a smaller piece or less artwork. All work accepted for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready or not exhibiting good craftsmanship may be omitted from the exhibit. Professional-level presentation and craftsmanship is a must.

Key dates include acceptance emails sent January 26, 2026, pieces due at BCAT by February 16, 2026, opening date February 20, 2026, closing reception March 27, 2026, and work returned by April 1, 2026. Each artist is responsible for shipping costs to and from BCAT, and entries must be double boxed with reusable containers. U.S. artists only.
