After Hours

Vestige Concept Gallery seeks submissions for "After Hours," an exhibition showcasing works of art that feature nightlife and/or life at night. Works can be non-representational and emotive of the feelings of after hours (sultry, dark, cool) or figurative and representational about people, bars and nightclubs, speakeasys, smoky lounges, musicians (jazz, blues, soul, rock, hip-hop), late night diners, urban life, graffiti, and related themes. The exhibition runs January 7 - February 12, 2023, with an in-person opening reception on Saturday, January 7th at 6 PM.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18+ in the United States and Canada. Work should ideally have been created in the last three years and must be original artwork ready to display. Work must not have been previously displayed at Vestige Concept Gallery and must be for sale. No Giclees or reproductions will be accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital. Applicants may submit up to nine entries; the $27 application fee includes two entries, with additional entries at $5 each. Work samples must include a minimum of 2 and maximum of 9 images.

Accepted artists must provide email confirmation, artist photo, bio, and web/social links for promotion. Artwork must match submitted images exactly; no substitutions allowed. Accepted artwork must be priced as listed in submission with no last-minute changes. The gallery retains a 30% commission on sales. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery via FedEx or UPS with prepaid return labels. 2D work must not exceed 30 lbs including frame. Wall pieces must be securely wired and framed. 3D work and audio/video require gallery discussion and are placed on waitlist status. Shipped work must arrive by January 5, 2023. Late or damaged work will not be exhibited.
