About This Call

After Dark V is a national juried exhibition celebrating darkness and the varied reactions emblematic to this subject matter, hosted by Greg Moon Art of Taos. The show runs June 4-25, 2016, with an opening reception on June 4th from 5-7 PM. Entries are accepted in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fiber arts, glass, and assemblage. Giclees are only accepted in photography. All photography prints (except Polaroid, platinum, and albumen) must have a minimum image size of 8 x 10". All works must be for sale and remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.

Entry deadline is April 15, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $40.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee per image over the minimum. Applicants must submit 4-8 images. The show is open to all US-based artists 18 years and older. Size limitations: 2-D pieces are limited to 52" width and 72" height with framing; 3-D pieces are limited to 32" width/depth and 72" height. All works must be ready to hang or display, with glazed works requiring plexiglass. No substitutions for accepted works are permitted.

Jurors are Wendy Sherman (Artist/Independent Curator/Manager of Gregorio Escalante Gallery), Christian Ristow (Robotics/Sculptural Artist), and Greg Moon (Artist/Curator/Gallery Owner). Notification of accepted works is May 1st. Receivership of accepted works is May 25-28. Pick-up/return of work is June 27-29. The show will be supported with professionally printed invitations, email announcements, website presence for selected artists, regional and national press coverage, and exposure to prominent figures, collectors, curators, and publishers in the visual arts.
