After Dark 6

After Dark 6 is a national juried exhibition celebrating darkness and the varied reactions emblematic to this subject matter—nighttime, dark humor, dark fantasies, dark matter, etc. The exhibition runs June 24–July 15, 2017, with an opening reception on June 24th at 5-7 PM at Greg Moon Art in Taos.

Entries are accepted in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fiber arts, glass, digital printed media, and assemblage. Giclees are only accepted in photography and digital media. All photography and digital media prints (except Polaroid, platinum, and albumen) must have an image size of at least 8 x 10". 2-D pieces are limited to 52" width and 72" height with framing. 3-D pieces are limited to 32" width/depth and 72" height. All works must be for sale and remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. All works must be ready to hang or display, and any work requiring glazing must use plexiglass.

Entry fee is $40.00 with a $10.00 media fee per image over the minimum. Applicants must submit 4-8 images. The entry deadline is April 27, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of accepted works will be sent May 21. Receivership of accepted works is June 12-21, with pick-up/return of work July 17-21. The show is open to all US-based artists 18 years and older. Jurors include Matt Kennedy (Director, La Luz de Jesus Gallery, Los Angeles), Stuart Ashman (Executive Director, Center for Contemporary Art, Santa Fe), and Greg Moon (Artist, Curator, Owner of Greg Moon Art). Selected artists will receive website presence on the gallery's website, professionally printed invitations with national mailer, email announcements, regional and national press coverage, and exposure to prominent figures, collectors, curators, and publishers in the visual arts.
