Abstractions — the art of seeing differently

Call for Entry: Abstractions invites photographers worldwide to submit abstract photography for an online exhibition exploring the infinite possibilities of abstraction through form, color, texture, and light. Entries may range from minimalist compositions to vibrant, chaotic expressions that challenge perception and push the boundaries of photographic artistry.

Eligibility is open to photographers internationally over 18 at all levels and backgrounds. Submit up to 10 images in JPEG or JPG format at 72 dpi with a minimum size of 2100 px on the longest side. Entry fee is $20 for up to 4 images, with $4 for each additional image. The deadline for all entries is February 28, 2025. The exhibition will run online from March 15 through May 15, 2025.

Selected artists will be featured in the online exhibition, receive digital badges, have their work included in a professionally produced exhibition catalog available on Blurb, and receive a promotional video on the gallery's YouTube channel. The First Place winner will receive a $300 cash prize and a solo exhibition in the gallery's Featured section. The juror is Janice Mehlman, a prominent New York photographer and Professor of Photography at Kingsborough Community College.
