Abstractions: Seeing with the Mind’s Eye

The Fulton Street Collective announces an open call for "Abstractions: Seeing with the Mind's Eye," curated by Ryan Miller. This exhibition will feature color, form, and gesture rather than literal representation. All types of visual art will be considered.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three pieces. Artists may submit up to three pieces and must provide the title, dimensions, media, and price (if for sale). No size restrictions apply. Drawings on paper must be framed. Paintings need not be framed but must be wired. No sawtooth hangers are permitted. Work may be for sale or marked NFS. FSC will not take a commission on any art sales, and artists are responsible for establishing prices and brokering their own transactions. Artists are encouraged to be present during the opening night.

Artwork drop-off takes place at The Fulton Street Collective, 1821 W. Hubbard Suite 307, Chicago, IL on Saturday, February 28 from 11am–3pm or Sunday, March 1 from 1–4pm. Shipped artworks are not accepted, and late entries will not be accepted. The exhibition runs March 6–27, 2026. Pickup of unsold artwork is Saturday, March 28, 2026, 11–3pm. Artwork not picked up by Saturday, April 28, 2026 becomes the property of FSC. Notifications will be emailed by the end of the day on February 27, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance. Acceptance of artwork is entirely at the discretion of the curator.
