Abstractions

This exhibition focuses on abstract art that utilizes flexibility and freedom through bold uses of color, line, pattern, form, process, mark making, and composition. Abstract art can be approached as 'art for art's sake,' emphasizing the creation of striking effects, or as similar to music, where patterns of form, color, and line create the artwork's consequence.

Acceptable mediums include Acrylic, Airbrush, Alcohol Ink, Ceramics, Charcoal, Collage, Color Pencil, Computer Art, Digital Art, Digital Photography, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Arts, Glass Art, Graphite, Gouache, Illustration, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Pastel, Pen and Ink, Photo Assemblage, Printmaking, Quilts, Scratchboard, Sculpture, Traditional Photography, Video, and Watercolor.

All submitted artists will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works posted and promoted on the gallery's website and client list. A select number of artists will be chosen to send their work to the brick-and-mortar gallery in Laguna Beach, California for the in-person exhibition. Entry fee is $31.00 with an additional $2.00 per image. Submit 1-15 images. Notification date: August 12, 2023. Exhibition dates: September 7 to September 30, 2023. Commission split: 65% Artist, 35% Gallery. Open to all local, national, and international artists.
