About Face

Webster Arts is accepting submissions for About Face, a national, juried visual art exhibition featuring works that explore the world of portraiture, both traditional and non-traditional, realistic, abstract and anything in between that shows the complexity of emotions and expressions that faces can depict. All media are considered with the exception of video.

Submissions must include up to 10 JPEG digital images (minimum 3, maximum 10) between 1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 PPI/dpi resolution, and 5 MB maximum size. Entry fee is $25 for up to three entries, with $5 for each additional entry up to a total of 10 images. The submission deadline is Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:59 PM MST. Artists will be notified by email on Saturday, February 26, 2026. The opening reception is scheduled for March 15, 2022.

Framed wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" x 48". All wall works on paper must be framed. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. Gallery wrapped canvases must have finished edges and be wired for hanging. No ceiling-installed work or video. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application. No reproductions. Work cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibit. In-person delivery of artwork is March 8-9, 2022, with a deadline to receive shipped artwork on March 10, 2022. The exhibition is open to artists age 18 or older residing in the US or abroad. An independent juror will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes.
