AAC Spring Show

The Abstract Art Collective (AAC) is seeking submissions for its Spring Show, a juried exhibition for AAC members only. Current AAC membership is required to participate; entry fees will not be refunded for non-members.

The exhibition will run May 1-30, 2025 at Voice Gallery, La Cumbre Plaza, 121 S. Hope Avenue, Santa Barbara. The show features abstract art in both 2D and 3D formats. The juror is Nathan Vonk, owner of Sullivan Goss Gallery. Key dates include ingathering on Sunday, April 27th (10am-12pm), opening reception on Thursday, May 1st (5-8pm), and takedown on Saturday, May 31st (10am-12pm). A 3rd Friday reception will be held on May 16th (5-8pm).

Submissions are accepted through CaFE from March 15th to April 6th at 11:59pm PST. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry, plus $5 for each additional entry (up to 5 total). Work samples should include 1-5 images. Acceptance notifications will be sent April 15th. For 2D work: maximum 4 feet wide with frame, no limit on height, maximum 6 inches deep. Paintings must be back wired with standard picture wire. No giclée copies; inkjet prints, hand-pulled prints, and photography are accepted. For 3D work: sculptures should be less than 100 lbs, less than 8 feet high, and take less than 6 square feet of floor space. Free-standing sculptures must be stable or bolted to a base. Artists are encouraged to bring their own pedestals; AAC will provide a limited number. All work must be clearly labeled with artist name, medium, and title. Artists retain 90% of sales; 10% goes to AAC.
