A Woman's Place: Visual Voices

"A Woman's Place: Visual Voices" is a juried exhibition celebrating Women's History Month, serving as a platform for artists to amplify stories that have often been overshadowed or marginalized. The exhibition provides a space where the rich tapestry of women's experiences can be vividly depicted and shared in a manner that crosses language and cultural barriers.

The Ebell of Los Angeles invites visual artists residing in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties to submit 2D fine arts work addressing this theme. The exhibition will be held at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles, 743 South Lucerne Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90005, from March 20 to April 24, 2025. Artwork must be a maximum size of 24" x 36" including frame, install-ready with D-rings or wired. All submitted works must be available for sale. Prizes will be awarded at the opening reception on March 20, 2025: 1st place - $300 and a 1-year membership to The Ebell; 2nd place - $200 and 2 tickets to Angel City Football Club; 3rd place - $100 and a gift basket with two bottles of wine.

Artists may submit up to 3 images of artwork for a non-refundable entry fee of $25. All artwork must include a selling price (including the 35% Ebell commission) and a brief description of no more than 300 characters. Artists must submit a bio and resume as one document. Open to artists age 18 and older. Proceeds from sales will be split 65/35 with 65% to the artist. Deadline for submission is February 22, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Accepted artists will be notified by March 7, 2025. Artwork must be hand-delivered March 15 or 17 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.). Artist and buyer pickup is April 25 and 26 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.).
