A Woman's Place

The Ebell of Los Angeles invites Los Angeles County visual artists to submit work for the juried exhibition "A Woman's Place" at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles, 743 South Lucerne Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90005. The exhibition runs from March 21 to April 30, 2024. This exhibition celebrates National Women's History Month and gathers works that center the women, past and present, who have touched our lives in countless ways. All 2D fine arts visual media addressing this theme will be considered.

Only 2D work submissions are accepted, with a maximum size of 26" x 30" including frame. Submitted work must be install-ready with D-rings or wired. The exhibition will be hung in the main art salon and adjacent hallway with a rail-wire system. Lighting may be limited in some areas. Alternative display methods may be used only with approval from The Ebell of Los Angeles, and the artist must supply any special hardware.

Artists may submit up to 3 images for a non-refundable fee of $20. All artwork must be available for sale. Proceeds will be split 70/30 with 70% to the artist; all sales are handled by the artist, who will send the 30% commission to The Ebell of Los Angeles. One artist will be awarded a one-year membership in The Ebell of Los Angeles. The jury includes Shana Nys Dambrot, Taylor Bythewood-Porter, and Amy Scott. Accepted artists will be announced February 29, 2024. Drop-off is Monday, March 18, 2024, 9am-12pm, or by appointment March 16-17. The opening reception is Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Eligibility is open to artists residing in Los Angeles County, CA, age 18 and older.
