A Tribute to Small Art

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this exhibition. The gallery celebrates art in diminutive, compact, and miniature forms, believing that small works can reflect big ideas, visions, and talent. Artwork must be no larger than 18 inches on the longest side. The exhibit has no restrictions on subject matter or style. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 different images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 images. All images must be submitted as JPEG files under 5 MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Submissions must include title, medium, size, price, and year of completion. The entry deadline is December 4, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Artists will be notified on or about December 14, 2023. Accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery no later than January 25, 2024. The exhibition runs from January 28, 2024 through February 25, 2024.

Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for secure installation with stretched wire attached to the back. Artwork should not weigh more than 30 lbs. Sculpture should not be larger than 18 inches on any dimension. All art must remain in the gallery for the full duration of the exhibition. Artists are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. An "Art of Distinction" Award will be granted, and one artist will be selected for a special exhibit. Additionally, one artist accepted and displayed in an MVA Gallery exhibit during the past calendar year will be selected for an exhibition opportunity in New York City. For sales, the artist receives 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%.
