A Taste of Art Photography Competition

A Taste of Art Photography Competition invites photographers to submit narrative series of photographs that tell stories about food. Each application consists of one series of three, four, or five photographs. All living photographers, including youth, in the United States are eligible to apply. Photographs may be taken with traditional and digital cameras or other devices including cell phones and tablet devices. Photographs submitted must be the original work of the artist.

Entry fee is $20 per application, non-refundable. Artists may submit up to 3 separate applications. Each photograph in a series must be the same size and must not exceed 198 inches in peripheral dimension (2 X height + 2 X width). All photographs in a single series must be sized, printed, framed or mounted in the same fashion. Photographs must be framed or mounted professionally and wired for hanging; saw tooth and clip hangers are not acceptable. All artwork must be offered for sale, and The Dairy will retain a 40% commission on all artwork sold. Prices may not be changed after submission.

Selected artworks will be judged by a jury comprised of James Beard Award-Winning photographer Carole Topalian, food industry entrepreneur Mallory Kates, Boulder fine art photographer Chris Brown, and professional staff of Mike's Camera. Cash prizes will be awarded. Selected artists will be notified via email on May 2, 2014. The photography exhibit opens May 23, 2014, and runs through July 6, 2014. Accepted work must be shipped to The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder, CO 80302 by May 19, 2014. Artists are responsible for return shipping or pick up of unsold artwork.
