A Taste of Art - All Mediums Competition

A Taste of Art is a visual art exhibition open to living artists of all ages who live within the United States. The competition invites original art in multiple mediums related to food in any form—whether depicting growing, harvesting, preparing, enjoying, sharing, or celebrating food; protest art; classical still life; or cutting-edge work using unexpected methods and materials.

All visual art mediums are acceptable for entry. The entry fee is $25 per application (non-refundable). Each application may consist of 1 to 5 images, and artists may submit up to 3 applications. Jewelry artists must provide their own secure display materials if accepted. Cash prizes will be awarded. All work must be offered for sale; The Dairy Center retains a 40% commission on artwork sold.

The exhibition runs June 18 - July 12, 2015 at The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, Colorado. Artists may deliver work in-person on June 13 or 14, or ship work for receipt between June 8-12 (at artist's expense). Artist notification of acceptance is May 21, 2015. Jurors are members of The Dairy's Visual Arts Committee, an eleven-member group of artists, curators, university faculty, and art collectors. Festival events include The Art of Plating competition (June 18), The Artful Chef competition (June 19), and a gallery opening event with film screening and wine tasting (June 20).
