A Smith Gallery Call for Entries: Trees

A Smith Gallery invites photographers of all levels to submit work reflecting the theme "trees" for an online exhibition. Photographers submitting 13 or more images are entitled to receive a complimentary review by the gallery directors. Up to 47 images will be selected for exhibition and shown in the online gallery from January 2 to February 12, 2026.

The competition is open to all photographers, both professional and amateur, working in all photographic mediums and styles. International entries are welcomed. Geoffrey Koslov will serve as juror. Entry fee is $40 for the first 5 images and $5 per each additional image with no limit to submissions. Photographers submitting fewer than 13 images can receive a 30-minute review for an additional $20.

Selected artists will have their images featured on the gallery's Facebook and Instagram, included in a GalleryTalk discussion posted on the gallery blog, listed for sale in the gallery online store, and published in an exhibition catalogue. The online exhibition and GalleryTalk will be permanently archived. Awards include: Juror's Award (online solo exhibition, "The 27" hardbound exhibition book, and feature story on gallery blog), Directors Award ("The 27" exhibition book), and Visitors Award for most Instagram likes ($100). "The 27" is a hardbound fine art book featuring 27 selected images from the total 47. The gallery retains 30% of sales. Entry deadline: December 8, 2025. Results will be emailed December 19, 2025. Reception: January 31, 2026 at 3pm CST.
