About This Call

Stern Contemporary invites artists to enter A New Year, A New Vision, a national competition established to explore the creative process, goals, priorities, and new paradigms of artists taking a chance with new imagery or a new way of working. The exhibition will take place on historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM. All styles and interpretations are welcome and encouraged.

The competition is open to all 2D and 3D artists working in painting, drawing, and sculpture. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Wall-mounted works must not exceed 30" in height or width. Sculpture must not exceed 3' in height. Submission requires 1-3 digital JPG images with a $35 entry fee. Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition with an opening reception on January 10, 2020. Exhibition dates are January 17-31, 2020. All artwork must be priced to sell, and the gallery receives a 50% commission on sales.

Submission deadline is December 19, 2019. Artists will be notified of acceptance by December 26, 2019 via email. Hand delivery of accepted work is January 4-6, noon-5:00pm. Shipped artwork must be received by January 7, 2020 in a reusable shipping container with return shipping provided. Artists are responsible for return shipment of their work.
