A New Media Exhibition

The Downtown Gallery at Indiana University Kokomo is accepting entries for a New Media Art exhibition. New Media Art has a history of unique concerns and problems apart from other medias. This call is directed to artists and engineers who are exploring New Media through the nature of the form itself. All artists are invited to participate in an open call for work juried by New Media faculty at IU Kokomo. Work must be completed in the previous two years. There are limited touch screens and projectors available and the selection process will prefer pieces which are self-sustaining in their technology requirements.

Submissions must include high-resolution (300dpi) JPEG images not exceeding 5MB. A minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 total work samples may be submitted, consisting of images, audio files (0-3), and/or video files (0-3). For 3D works, a second detail photo may be uploaded. Professional presentation of each piece is required. There is no entry fee. Entries are due by 4/7/2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified on or before 4/20/2019. The exhibition runs from 5/24/2019 to 6/22/2019, with an opening reception on 6/7/2019 from 5:30pm-9:00pm.

Artwork delivery is the responsibility of the artist and may be dropped off or shipped to the gallery between 5/8/2019-5/11/2019 during gallery hours. Pick-up is scheduled for 6/26/2019-6/29/2019 during gallery hours. Any work not picked up 30 days after the end of the show will become the property of the gallery.
