A Moment in Time Spring Juried Art Competition

The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc. invites entries for A Moment in Time, a spring juried art exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the gallery located at 28265 Main Road, Cutchogue, NY from May 3-12, 2019. Entries are accepted in three categories: Fine Art, Photography, and Mixed Media. The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older residing in the United States.

Juror Seung Lee, Director of Fine Arts at Long Island University and an award-winning internationally known artist, will judge all entries. Awards will be made in each category: First place $150, Second place $100, Third place $75. Accepted entries will be notified by April 12, 2019. The opening reception and award announcements will be held May 3, 2019 from 5-7 pm. Exhibition hours are Monday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm and Sunday 12 pm-5 pm.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three pieces per category, with $5 per additional entry. Artists may submit up to 3 works total per category. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 24" x 30" including frame; three-dimensional works cannot exceed 24" in any dimension. All works must be original and submitted online through CaFE by March 29, 2019. Image submissions must be JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. A brief artist statement (50-100 words maximum) is required. The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc. retains a 30% gallery commission on works sold during the exhibition. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs; artwork must arrive by April 26, 2019 and will be returned postmarked no later than May 30, 2019.
