A Gathering of Color

Falkirk Cultural Center invites artists residing within the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area to submit up to 3 separate pieces of original work completed in the past two years, not previously shown at Falkirk Cultural Center. The exhibition theme is "A Gathering of Color," focusing on how color affects mood and emotion in artwork. All mediums are welcome including collages, paintings, drawings, assemblages, sculptures, and fiber arts, except jewelry and videography.

Entry deadline is December 11, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $40 for one entry, with $7.50 for each additional entry (up to 3 total). Submit 1-3 digital images per work. Accepted entries will be notified by email on December 15, 2023. Hand delivery only on Friday, January 5, 2024 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. The exhibition runs January 12 – February 16, 2024, with an opening reception on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. Awards: 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $50.

Size limits: 2D artwork maximum 48 x 48 inches, not exceeding 30 pounds; 3D artwork maximum 48 x 48 x 48 inches, not exceeding 70 pounds. All 2D work on paper must be framed and ready to hang.
