9th Annual Sanchez Art Center 50|50 Show

The 9th Annual Sanchez Art Center 50|50 Show invites California artists age 18 and over to create 50 small works (6" x 6") over 50 days. Each artist chooses a theme for their series and uses a single medium throughout. Creation of works begins June 12 and ends July 31, 2017, with the exhibition running September 1 – October 1, 2017.

Eligibility is limited to California artists. The entry deadline is Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. The entry fee is $25.00 (non-refundable). An additional $75 participation fee is due upon acceptance to cover materials and exhibition expenses. Applicants must submit 3 artwork images in the medium they will use. Sanchez Art Center will furnish each accepted artist with 50 unprimed medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels, 6" x 6" with pre-drilled nail holes, hanging supplies, and installation templates. All fine art visual media are accepted. Works must fit within 6" x 6" x 6" allocated space.

All artworks will be for sale. All works of an individual artist must have the same price, except the 50th piece if framed. Pricing guideline is $50 to $175 each (minimum $35). SAC will process sales and sales tax, taking a 30% commission. Artists are responsible for delivering and installing their works between 1 and 5 pm on August 26, 27, or 28. The juror is Jack Fischer, founder and curator of the Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco. Accepted artists will be notified on Thursday, May 25.
