9th Annual Juried Photography Show

The 9th Annual National Juried Photography Show celebrates the dynamic and diverse medium of photography with no specific theme. This juried exhibition showcases photography's ability to capture moments in time, offering viewers diverse perspectives and transient beauty. The exhibition features works from photographers nationwide and celebrates the rich diversity and shared experiences of our world.

Juror Brittney Denham-Whisonant is a multidisciplinary artist and Assistant Professor of Photography and Printmaking at Sheridan College in Wyoming. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and she was nominated for the USA Artist Fellowship in 2023 and received the Vermont Studio Center Windgate Fellowship in 2023.

Entry fees are $15 for SAGE members (first photo) or $25 for non-members (first photo), with $5 per additional photo (up to 10 total submissions). Both stages of jurying are blind, with the first round conducted online. Approximately 35-40 photos will be selected for the exhibition. Selected artists will be notified by December 16, 2023, and must ship work to SAGE by January 16, 2024. The exhibition opens January 23, 2024, and closes March 2, 2024. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), First Prize ($750), Second Prize ($500), Third Prize ($300), and People's Choice ($150). An Awards Reception is scheduled for February 1, 2024, from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Eligibility is open to all US-based artists. All work must be original and created within the past five years and cannot have been included in a prior SAGE Juried Photography show. Printed photos cannot exceed 36 inches in width (including framing) and must be exhibit-ready with proper hanging mechanism. All accepted work must be for sale as part of the exhibition.
